Mark was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1962. He discovered music in Grade 2, when asked to volunteer to sing for a school function. The song was "My Little Pony". Mark soon sang in the school choir grades 7 to 9 in Thomson Manitoba, and sang at the "Thompson Arts Festival" three years in a row. He then got some good advise from his Grade nine music teacher...
"Don't Stop Singing"
Mark then moved to Calgary in 1977, began singing Karaoke around Calgary 1996. Showcased at "Bull Shooters" and "Bronco Billy's" in Calgary 1997 and then started writing songs and learning guitar in 1996.
In 1998 Mark started performing the club circuit in Calgary, Okotoks, High River, Turner Valley, Strathmore, Longview, Bragg Creek, Hill Spring, Medicine Hat areas in Alberta, and Whistler BC. Mark's first demo disc was recorded in Medicine Hat, Alberta in 2000. He then wrote and recorded a 10 song CD in 2001 with help from Canadian singer recording artist ... "George Canyon" .
